Default Logitech Performance MX buttons

I know this is a specific question, but does anyone know if the buttons on the performance MX are "normal" analog buttons? Meaning if I hold down any of the buttons, does it send a continuous signal, not just a single signal like my MX 1100 does? This was very annoying for me to find out, since I can't bind the side ones to do anything useful, but other than that I love the 1100, especially the fly/click scrollwheel. I'm a "finger holder" so I prefer the big mice. If it does have analog buttons, I will be asking for the performance MX for Xmas. Haven't found anything in the reviews.

This isn't a wired vs wireless debate. I prefer wireless, the end, so please stick to the topic.
