Default How do I use Logitech SetPoint?

I just picked up a G500 today and downloaded the latest SetPoint from the Logitech website. I was hoping to customize the side buttons but when I open SetPoint, all I see is options for their help center / support and automatic updates. I also checked the mouse settings in Control Panel, and the only mouse-specific settings I can access are the Microsoft mice, which is what I used previousely.

So...how do I use SetPoint to actually change my buttons?

You should have an extra tab in your mouse options (in control panel) that says setpoint, If not you may need to uninstall/reinstall the drivers.

This is what it should look like (setpoint 4.80).... Then you just click the right side (select button/task) and allocate a specific function for the button.

Open set point > Double Click G500 > Click Buttons on the left hand side > Choose which button you want to modify and select what action you want from the drop down menu.

While you are at it, set setpoint to control movement and turn off acceleration if you game. To set those just click Overview on the left and then hit the edit button near the pointer settings.

I do have a SetPoint tab in my mouse options but it just brings up the aforementioned SetPoint screen with the help and update functions.

I'll try an uninstall/reinstall, though.

Try re-connecting your G500.

  1. Install (do not reboot).
  2. After install, open Task manager.
  3. Find the process "Setpoint32" and end it.
  4. Go to "C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPoint\x86" and delete Setpoint32.exe.
  5. Reboot. SetPoint might give you an error, just hit OK.

After that, you should be able to correctly customize your buttons.
