Default dvd drive difficulties

Ok my Samsung ts-h552 is driving me mad. I used to import into I-tunes at about 14x now I am down to about 7x, I have changed nothing. My dvd drive dosn't read burnt discs..at all, what could have gone wrong. Kepp in mind nothing has been changed.

When you experience that with a Drive it usually means its near the end of its life or it needs its lens cleaning with cd lense cleaner

yeah tried the whole lense cleaning thing but to no avail.
