OEM means it came with with a pre-built system so the shop would'nt have the box, coming in a bag tho seems a bit lame for packaging.
Mind you when i got my ram (oem) it came in a jiffy bag with a little card, i understand the company has overheads but geez, theres no need to be so tight lol. |

Agreed on that... damage during shipping is just too risky

Yikes, it was shipped in a bag? I hope it was heavily padded at least. Even if it works, who knows if it'll cause issues in the future considering how those packages are thrown around during shipping.

I've ordered many things OEM. My software, my Riviera, my DVD-RW, my hard drive, my floppy. Nothing's ever broken for me.

OEM just means that it is supposed to go to somebody like Dell or Gateway. The product manufacturer gives it no warranty, but the Original Equipment Manufacturer does instead. Seeing as there is no OEM for an OEM product, there is technically no warranty.

It's new stuff. And for the more robust items it's ok. And I do buy OEM stuff in a local store. My concern is mainly shipping with moer sensitive things.
Also, OEM does not come with extra's (no fan with CPU, but then who uses stock.... no cables with Video card..etc)
