Im trying to install a HP OfficeJet 600 which i have done several times but this time it does nopt want to run the install from the cd so i downloaded the software and it will not run either. Does anyone know how i can fix this problem??

When you plug in the printer dose windows detect new hardware.

The software will not run at all? And this is the same SW you have used in the past. Hmmm--a work around would be to plug in the printer first then when the wizard runs point it to the drivers on the CD or on the HDD--that may get you installed...

uninstall it...run RegscrubXP...then install again...
If you'reusing USB then make sure it's enabled in the BIOS

it will not detect it unless i run the find hardware wizard...then it finds it and detects that there is a cd that has the drivers but when it asks you which driver you want to install it says install for drivers to work...becasue it is a All in One you need to install the software to work. i have done this many times with no problems but this time it wont read the setup file on the cd. its a fresh install of XP pro as i just installed it about 5 mins b4....i downloaded the software and no go. it wont run the setup file from HDD or CD

then your Windows installer isn't running...had a virus that does that...I'll post the page where it come from when I get it AGAIN...goto services and make sure it's started before...good luck!
