Question Needing space for computer :(

Hi,

I have very little room in my bedroom for a PC, I have found a space which I can sit at with a spinny chair and have a monitor and pc there, however the case would stick out in width too much to have a full size keyboard which would leave very little moving space for a mouse.

Is it okay for a PC to run on it's side? I mean, would the hard disks find it harder having to go upwards rather than round in a circle horizontally.

Thanks

Lol,of course it is, thats what desktop/HTPC cases are, cases that lay flat. Some times optical drives don't like being sideways though, but you wont know with yours until you try.

Harddrives do not mind the position they are in, they just hate getting bumped around a lot. CD drives are the only things that sometimes cause problems.

Don't get a nice case with a side window and set the monitor on the window.

But yea, turn the case on it's side and set a lightweight LCD on top of it. Don't go setting no CRT up on it.

If you want, send it to me and I'll run it 24/7 for you and you can just remote into it lols.

How big is the room? My room used to be super tiny, let me see if I have any pics from it and you can see how I had my stuff laid out. Though I didn't really have all that big of a bed, and it was mostly computer stuff in there lols.

That's about how wide my old room was both ways.

I would move the shelf up so I can fit an LCD screen below it, the width of the shelf is 87cm and the depth is 56cm.

Also, that TV screen would be used as the screen temp. :P

Any ideas?

I'd move the shelf up, put the LCD, keyboard, mouse down there. And then get a HTPC case or just lay your tower case sideways and put it up top. Then I'd move the xbox on top of the computer since it doesn't weigh much and be perfect up there. Then I'd clean out the trash in there.
