Default I need a good chair, my back is killing me :(

I need a good chair as my back is killing me now. I got this nice, $350 executive chair for free at a contest and it seems it should be a lot better for backs than it is, it kills my back Any ideas on a good cheap chair that will not hurt my back.

Just go to Ikea and try all the chairs they have, then pick one.

The $100 leather(ish) one at Wal-Mart is great for my back, and I've got lower back problems bad enough that my doctor is talking surgery....

Try finding office buildings around your location and asking if/when they get rid of their office chairs. I have 6 $1000 captains style chairs with more adjustments than I can imagine. I get them for 10 dollars a pop, they sell them once a year, dirt cheap because it costs them more to throw away than sell at a huge loss.

I highly recommend chairs by Steelcase, with my favorite being the Leap. You most likely can find an older model of the Leap that is refurbished for cheap online. It adjusts nicely to your preference and can come in leather.

Personally, I'd get one of those massage chairs

Good for your back too.
