Default Ikea Frederik question

On the site:

http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/60111123

It says it holds an upto 19" monitor? This doesn't seem quite right? Is it really so small between the desk and shelf? I got a 22" monitor, will it fit?

It's 50" wide. That top bar might be slightly low for a monitor that is taller than 16" inches like 19" monitors are, but it should hold a larger monitor just might have to have it sitting more forward than you would if it was 19".
