what are your thoughts on this desk

thinking about getting it. i just dont know if the keyboard tray will fit my lycosa/lachesis with eXactmat

Meep, that looks *really* busy to me. Perhaps you should look over at an IKEA store and see what they have. I have a simple white desk with matching keyboard tray. It's lovely! $50.

I have that desk, its great for its price. I don't use the keyboard/mouse tray because when I got up one time I put my palm on the tray to brace myself and it snapped. The ball bearings broke out and shot off everywhere. I managed to collect enough of them to put back in and still be able to use. The tray broke off again for the same reason but this time either the screws or metal frame of the tray sheared off. I didn't bother to fix it again. I'm not a big guy either!
__________________If I had to give a rating on the desk's overall quality... I would say 7/10. The glass is VERY strong, strong enough to for me to stand on (BUT DON'T TRY IT). I should mention the frame of the desk is made of aluminum and the whole desk wieghs well less than 10lb without the glass surfaces. The only part that has bent is the horizontal bar at the bottom going across were your feet would be. The two diagonal bars that pull on it to create more support for the rest of the desk bent it a little over time. I have a Razer eXactmat and a Saitek Eclipse I, both of those wont fit on the tray together and I don't think a Lycosa would either. Its a small tray. All in all, its a good desk, I would recommend it to others. Simple, stylish, efficient.
