Default Herman Miller Aero Chair?

I've been searching for about 9 months for a comfortable replacement for my old home desktop chair (with stuffing coming out).

I even made purchases and returned them after a day of discomfort.

While not very visually satisfying, highly adjustable mesh models have turned out to be the comfort winners in my book.

Time is valuable to me, and sometimes I realize how much of my life I'm wasting searching for a good deal on the perfect product.

That's enough lead in.

Aside from price, can anyone think of a good reason NOT to get this chair?

(Black model for me without polished aluminum......)

I was looking at that chair too while I was working on correcting my posture at the computer. (did you try it out? and where...)

I ended up using my old $50 chair and using a towel for better support as recommended in a book, I would like to try out this chair though.

My reason not to get it is if I could not remove the arm rests. Other than that, I really want this chair now.

It looks like you could remove the arms from the picture, or at least swing them down vertically.

They do make an armless version. And it's cheaper.

Edit: full adjustability is important as my wife and kids will use as much as me. Needs to fit 5.

The arms could be worth it, it takes a lot of stress off you shoulders, and prevents a forward head and shoulder posture.

I don't use arm rests because they get in the way. Plus, when I'm at rest and just watching a movie, my legs serve as proper arm rests. And by allowing my chair to recline back a bit, everything is comfortable and ergonomic, for a lack of a better word in my head at the moment.

I have always hated armrests. I never use them. Even when I'm sitting in a chair that has them, I still don't use them unless the chair feels like it's causing me to lean forward slightly.
