The worse the chair the more your ass will hurt if you sit for long periods of time, so I'd think it's wise to buy a better chair.

i like #2. if i'm gonna be at a workstation for hours, the comfier chair makes it bearable.
a little ergonomics makes things so much easier to use. but if you like #1 then by all means. besides, after a long time sitting on those fold-up chairs my backside hurts and the cheeks tend to go numb. and for the record, no i have no butt. my ex-es have all said that too

The chair is essential to your command station/mancave

Put it this way; you're going to be sat in it ALL THE TIME* when using your PC. I'd buy the second chair, if you can afford it.
*Providing you are not standing up.

get the best you can find. my current pc chair ive had for almost a decade, its rediculously comfortable, even though the leather is starting to tear in a few places. get something that fits you. adjustable armrests can be nice, but i've found them to be annoying due to the fact they almost always rattle/shake.

Well, I would get the chair that's most comfortable and have the most support. This will be better for your health. So get something like in the #2 link
![]() Just got this, and it's so comfortable
