I've been using couple of 8FT utility tables with foldable legs from Sam's as my work area. Works really good, and it only set me back about $130. Best of all, I have all the space I could ever need for builds and work.

Bought this one a year ago: http://www.bush-furniture-online.com...n_WC12926.html

Nice looking desk, extremely sturdy, and easy to put together.

Use a foldable 6-8ft table. You can find them at Lowes or Walmart, and they are resistant to everything, are incredibly stable, and are obviously long enough for anything you need.
