might this help?
if i was to mount 2 fans on the top and the bottom of my heatsink, would that possibly help temps, or would itlike create a dead spot?

Not sure on that. It should push all your hot air upwards and out of your case if you have a blowhole at the top. Go ahed and try it, can't hurt (unless you drop a fan and chop off a cap!)
