Default trying to cool laptop with ice

ok so i have a 120mm fan and a metal box with a vent and i wanted to put some ice in it and put it under the vent in my laptop. i hope it will cool my cpu just enough to make it more overclockable. any tips for an easyer way to cool my cpu.

better laptop cooling is only possible by putting it in a larger case. say.. a suitcase. that way you could slap on a larger cooler.
better airflow does help to cool it down a lot though. as well as reseating the stock cooling with some AS5.

This is my first computer that is 100%mine and i think my parents would kill me if i broke it. i think i will just wait till i build my computer.*on that note: is it possible to have a motherboard with 2 CPU sockets and each CPU to have duel core?*

AMD currently has a platform like that, and intel is theoretically developing one.

you can have 2x dual xeon 771's already AFAIK. and AMD also has Dual-dual desktops. (4x4) or 4x single core server boards for that matter.
4x single core xeons are rare, i havent seen them in any case.

don't do ice. You'll screw something up most likely...

Anyways, yes you can do 2x dual core...
but why?

You can buy quad core for about the same price as 2 dual cores and it's all integrated into the same chip.
