Default Looking for some sort of "Air cooler"

Any suggestions?

I am going to make my new rig water cooled. But the rig I have right now is air cooled. I am looking for a way to cool the air in my pc.

Here is my current pc problem, southbridge gets way to hot (45 degrees)

Remove your PCI brackets and place a fan down there in exhaust. This will bring most of the heat that your video card out. This will also prevent hot air from going back into the GPU's fan.

Ah, you edited your post with a picture.

I really don't know how much heat the SB can endure, but doing what I said above would help the temps on the bottom of the case. If you look at the end of the 8800 cards. You'll see a slot for the heat to be release outside, and a slot for it to be dumped inside the case.

Removing the PCI brackets and placing a fan in the outside in exhaust will catch those heat and pull them out. This may cool the SB a bit, but it will get your GPU and CPU to run cooler. Heat raises, so expect a bit of a temp drop if you use the side panel.

Some wire management would help air flow as well.

Yeah, I am upgrading all of my stuff to sata so that should get rid of my huge ide cables. I will buy a new sb heatsink and a fan for it. I will purchase those tonight.

Here is a pic of my whole pc.

I do plan on "thinning out" The wires this evening and re-arranging some of my fans to give my pc a "cleaner" look to it.

You dont see any hd's because I have a coolmaster drive thing. That keeps it cool. I did order 2 320 gb sata drives, but they were shipped damaged earlier this week so I had to rma those. But I hope that doing all this will help the airflow in my pc.

Move the physics card down a slot and the 8800GTS down to the next pcie slot, this will free up the SB, an it will be above the heat... I also suggest replacing the cooler for it if your really worried, and if you've modified the voltages 4it in Bios see if you can stabalize at anything lower... it will help temps

The other pci slot is a x8 and I dont think half the preformance is worth the heat. I will move the physics card down and see if that helps any. Should I swap it with he sound card?

You can hide some wires behind the motherboard.

Here's a picture of my rig after I hid the wires behind the motherboard. There's a space on the other side of the hard drive holders so, I just put the other end of the wires in there.
