Default Frozen mineral water cooling?

I've some people sealing up their case and adding mineral water or oil that is not conductive into their case for cooling.

Since you can't use ice, because it's made out of water, and water + electricity is bad. What would happen if you froze a chunk of mineral water and place it in a pool of mineral water or just on top of the heat sink?

Wouldn't it help a lot if your case is already sealed with mineral water and you add a cold frozen piece of mineral water in it?

Just an idea.

Ive never heard of actually filling a computer with any kind of fluid. If any kind of electrolyte were to make its way into the solution you would be SOL. Who has ever told you that you can seal up the case and fill it with mineral water?

I can't say what would happen, but mineral oil is what is used. Mineral water is what you get at fancy restaurants.

Where have you been Vengeance?

Ive seen the oil thing alot, but its not that effective, but maybe for benching the mineral water thing might work, but even if it did it wouldnt be very effective.

It could be done, but like putting ice in your reservoir, it is a temporary, 10 minute deal.

Do able? Yes

long term solution (more than 1 hour)? No

Submerging your computer in mineral oil will produce temps much higher than air cooling.

Wallaby is correct it is mineral oil that you can use which doesn't freeze so yea it won't work.

Also mineral water would fry all components because it conducts electricity.

^tomshardware has done it with oil but not water. Water will conduct and destroy the computer.
