I want to make my chiller more effective. Currently I have my radiator sitting in a tub of chiller water. There is not any real significant movement of water through the radiator. Is there any good way to set up fans or propellers under the water(which is conductive) in a reliable manner?
__________________I think this would drop my temps significantly. I know people have just put regular fans under water but im a little worried about the whole conductive thing and also the fans dying quickly because of the extra resistance to spinning in the water. If I can't figure out an easy way to do this im gonna rig up a motor out of the water and make a belt and gear system, but that would be a huge hassle. Please let me know of any ideas you have.

I found this. I would really like to not have to pay $20 for a fan though.

I'll post some results when I get done testing. Hopefully I won't be posting pictures of dead fans!

May I suggest using distilled water.
It will not conduct electricity, or at least not as well regular water.

Havent actually bought them yet, but i'd just assume they're normal fans which are sealed and work underwater...

I was just gonna say heads up as they might be running those fans in distilled water which is non conductive.

I am gonna try it anyway. I can't run distiller water because the chiller uses outside air which is below 0C so it would freeze and kill my pump. I'll post my results. These fans look like they might be the US version of those crazy green ones. I have a couple and they are quiet as hell, but I haven't run them under water yet.
