without a fan or in general cause mine is a 60amp 750 watt and with no fan and it on load i give it 40 minutes.

10-15 min. last i checked they get extremely hot very fast

It varies... but doing so is extremely stupid. Best case scenario is that it will shutdown. Worst case scenarios include:
1) Bad voltage regulation damaging components
2) Exploding capacitors

Dude, DONT TRY IT! My friend took his out thinking hed be da bomb and what not for having a <30dba system. His PSU had exploding capacitors and he killed his 8800gts

That's actually quite exaggerated. It was the case years ago, but even then it was rare. Usually the user had to be doing something really stupid for something like that to occur.

These days PSU's have come a long way and with all their protection in place, they will shut down before any of these sort of things could possibly occur.
