I got a little bored and had been wondering for quite a while, would an old heatsink make a good coffee cooler...turns out...yes!!
__________________Of course i didnt use actual coffee, just boiling water - it made an awsome room heater too. Taking apart the old Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro... ![]() The mug of boilin hot water =D ![]() It fitted PERFECTLY into the mug, a really snug fit - its not falling over at all ![]() A spare 80MM fan connected to the computer to blow through the HS ![]() A little close up, the nail sat the fan snugly on the side of the cup, worked suprisingly well wedged into the fins ![]() A view from the other side of my cooler/room heater ![]() =D The heat it put out was quite a lot, and cooled the cup within a matter of minutes, next time my room is cold i know what to do ^.^ The model also comes with a slightly more hands free version, so you can have the side of your case closed - this option is more discreet and better suited for office or living room use ![]() As you can see, the later revision of this model uses the 120mm case fan to blow cool[ish] air through the heatsink, heating your room whilst cooling your coffee ![]() Little clearance between the heatsink and the case allows maximum airflow ![]() Just a snazzy shot ![]() ![]() See how discreet it looks? nobody would ever know... The later revision has a night time option, so you are less likely to knock over your cooled coffee when working in the dark ![]() However, if you drink the coffee after having the used heatsink dipped in for around 5 minutes, your vision of the coffee is more likely to match the lines of the following picture ![]() This AWSOME mod has been bought to you by none other than your loveable Sheepy friend...me ^.^ I has a little rap.. I am the HauntSheepa I slay fasta than the grim reaper The CPU Eata Yo betta watch yo ass cos the sheeps gonna beat ya! =D Hope you enjoyed ^.^

Nice mod, I usually have to let my coffee sit for a few minutes before it doesn't burn me to drink it.
