Default water res refrigeration?

now i know the whole ''zomg pc in freezer!'' thing was proven wrong because of condensation and the death of a freezer motor, BUT. i had a thought of just putting a water reservoir in a mini fridge or something, that why there isnt TOO much heat, yet the water in the res gets chilled. also who doesnt want a mini fridge full of food next to them? lol just a thought

i dont have w/c so sadly i cant try it

No.

There was already a thread kind like this. Chilling the reservoir wouldn't help very much and it would still burn out the minifridge.

That's for even asking.

Get freezer, mod thermostat, add compressor cooling fan, add condensor fan, obtain evaporator and submerge in large reservoir. Bingo. Water chiller that will work for short bench runs.

I wish they would make a mini 5.25 fridge type cooling without having to touch a thing in PC as far as res or tubes. So in other words u slide it in the tray and wala ,,, its like some sorta of cold device that cools everything around it, thus cooler case temps and better RAD work, and cooler res,, am I alone here on this idea, or is something like this out already. Just a thought.

I wish they made fans that are completely silent and move 100cfm of air.

Isn't it fun to dream?

Why wish that? why not just wish that computer components give off no heat?

Cooling 1m of water-filled tubing is actually even easier than cooling the res. While the res will be colder, it still contains more heat than the tube because theres more matter.
