Doubt that fan can do that much damage if it came off.

Ok just started my flame against TR for the 780i chipset thing. Was agressive yet polite, find that works best for information.

@ Marin: I had the EXACT same setup, before I got my 38mms and there was not enough space to mount 2 fans. Had to move to a shorter (~23mm) one for space.

HAHAHA ok guys i used exterior car trip double sidded tape for the bottom fan. and the reason i have it screwed to the stock mout is to make like an air duct. and the litte fan on the botton is MM away from my 8800 lol. and its used to help force some extra air into it and i have it reversed to keep the hot air off my GPU. my temps before were around 75C but after this little mod im down to 55c and it took that crazy heat off my GPU. and the reason i cant do my mod like marins is one becouse i want my airflow reversed and 2 my CPU cooler is so damn huge it wouldnt clear and i cannot mount it any other way lol.

Damnit I just ordered 2x 120x38mm fans

Looks like im going to file down my NB fan too, no way in hell im dropping one of those 38mm fans elsewhere, **** was $20

lol and for the temp question it only changed one of my cores from 39C to 41C. small price to pay for a great temp drop on my NB

Reversing the airflow didn't work for me because of my TT Big Typhoon, which has a 79 CFM fan blowing straight down so it killed any upward airflow from the single 60mm fan.
