This is to all the air cooling buddies out there..
What about charging a fan with cold air? Think about it, a 80mm side intake fan that had some chilling unit on it so it chills the fan and thus blows out colder air, that could be so awsome, like a hard drive cooler BUT....for your fan....ooooo ahhhhhh claps! Whatcha think guys? Doable? What can be used to do this?

pretty much, but its a cooler thats on the sides of the fan, so it makes the plastic cold and the entire fan cold and so colder air will flow through. Can it work like that?

Well you could use that ghetto A/C concept. Where you put like a long copper tubing in a tub of water and on the opposite side of your fan so it cools down. It's somewhere on here.

It would work assuming the temp of the incoming air isn't below ambient, cuz then you'd have condensation and that would be bad

hmmm....means of doing this though is another story. Have to have something that raps around the fan but is not so huge it takes up all the darn space....bah, I am only a sophmore in mechanical engineering, I don't have my masters yet, I think Ill use magic instead....lol

It would have to blow purely cold air, without condesation in the air.. Like a AC.

exactly, what about charging the air outside the side intake fan with cold good ness or again back to my idea of a hard drive cooler, but refitted to cool a fan bit somehow convert it into active cooling?
