Is this concievable? I an not a thermodynamic engineer so I have no idea the properties but I know a guy...
I was thinking that if it was set up similar to an automotive air conditioning system and run at the right pressures it should work. If this isnt a complete pipe dream I may start looking into this, but if it isnt possible then I'm not going to waste my time.

You'd have to cool it off...and as it would all boil to nitrogen, it would be closed loop air cooling.
![]() No matter what you do cooling-wise, you're gonna have to cool something off...if you took like r134a and put that in a loop, it would be a liquid, and would boil off to a condenser, and then you're looking at phase change... ![]()

I'm talking about basicly building an A/C system but using nitrogen as the coolant. I would use the compressor, evaperator, orifice tube, condensor. I am just wondering if this is what they are representing as "phase change" becuase if it is then those people out there paying 800+ dollars for it are getting piped in the butt !!

You would need a compressor capable of reaching several thousand PSI just to make the nitrogen condense. Then you would need quite a large condenser with a powerful fan to remove all that heat. And you would need to have piping that would be able to withstand that amount of pressure.
