Default Anyone done this?

Has anyone else been to a party and seen those cool drink chillers that are like a whirl pool filled with salt and ice where you put your drink in the middle and in about 20 seconds its gone from room temperature to an enjoyably ice cold temperature (Yum)?

Well I have, and it's a simple set up that, if correctly applied, can be used to cool a CPU even.

Really all that would need to be done is make a bunch of custom heat pipes and run them into the water. Along with that, constantly adding the correct levels of water and Ice.

Maybe even making your fridge direct ice straight to the pool

So yeah, has anyone ever done this?

Whilst I applaud the creative thinking, I don't think anything good could come of this

It depends on the creator, these have to be custom made, but are very effective. I'd say around 36cm in diameter would be as small as one could go, usually they are powered by a high powered blender with a big blade under grate/mesh so that the drink can go on top.
