It's Not A Troll A Core 2 Duo Cooler in HD3870Sapphire  I Don't Believe in Heat PIPES   The Stock Cooler is 40-39Idle   But 77-81 on Full load but after This MOD     It's 34-35 Idle   And !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 54-55 Full Load For 188/S   So Pipe are Full of *******

Well I give you kudos for trying your ghetto mod, but alas this has been done before with a 7900GS. IMO, the 7900GS looked better.

I must say, when I first read this, it conjured up images of a TRUE taped to a graphics card (which would, I imagine, be very efficient).
__________________I have long been a critic of graphics card coolers, ever since I took my 8800gts cooler off, and found that the memory thermal 'paste' was actually oily pads of god knows what, and the layer on the GPU had very little contact and was about half a centimeter thick. When I get a new pc, I may try this with my current card (and a Tuniq Tower 120 :P)
