Default A couple of heater cores.

First WC build, been thinking about it for a long time.

Two 1967-71 Ford T-Bird heater cores, (9.75"h x 6"w x 2.5”d, Fin Area)
Four Scythe Ultra Kaze 3000 120 x 38mm fans
Scythe Kaze Master fan controller
Swiftech MCP655 pump
CPU Block EK Supreme
NB Block Came w/ MB
Tubing size ½” adapted to 3/8” at the in & outlet.
PS is an old 400w rewired for this setup
Reservoir is a large stainless steel food storage container w/ locking lid
Running distilled water, (about 1.5 gal) w/ silver as a bio agent.

Results, lapped Q6700, first test OCCT, not long enough for the amount of water as pointed out at another site, fans 2000 rpm.

Second test, got the votages about right, Linpack, fans 2100 rpm.

So what do think for a autopart/hardware store setup

+rep for reusing and DIY spirit!

Plus I like that you can just open the res top and drop some dry ice in there if you felt hot!

I'm also not sure of the temps. 2nd test seems much higher than first?

Thanks

First test was OCCT, 2nd test was Linpack, load wattage was peaking around 115w with OCCT 135w with the latter in Everest. Also ran it a lot longer to equalize the water temp.

Was thinking more along the lines of ice cubes this winter when I can duct cold air from outside to help drop the water temp.

Motoray, are you running Ford or GM parts?
