Just thinking. My parents were setting up thr bar gun (soda shooter thing) in the kitchen. Basically in order to get cold soda from it the tubing has to run through a fridge where a waterblock of sorts sits in the freezer.
The fridge idea is always shot down here but how about using the same methods as above? Instead of putting the computer in the fridge because the fridge wouldnt have the cooling efficiency for the heat output - why not run watercooling through a fridge. Sure it prolly wont be that effective but at least it'll probably knock off at least a few C off. Obviously you'll still need the radiator. EDIT: I'm laughing at the posts that are saying "it won't work, it won't work" because guess what I just happened to watch. http://revision3.com/tekzilla/bags He used an i7 rig too. ![]() Skip to 17:30 or so. He tried doing it WITHOUT a radiator. Didn't work obviously. So, then he did it with a radiator. Not just any radiator - a car radiator. So, his results may be a little too good

Highly doubt it will do anything. It cools a soda down to a certain temp and keeps it there. As everyone says, it's not meant to continually cool a heat source.

Always thought about it... Buy a mini cooler and keep the Reservoir there

Aslong as you dont over stress the heat pump in the fridge it could work, the only problem is that they arnt designed to cool somthing that keeps giving heat out so if there is to much heat being dumped into the fridge you will break it.

It all comes down to duty cycle. A fridge compressor is not made to run 100% of the time. Something like a small window air conditioner would hold up better.

Um guys a fridge work very similarly to a phase change cooler, in a situation like this as long as the fridge can keep up it will work but it will also need to run all of the time and that cause wear and tare not to mention the electricity bill

I had a similar idea, i would get a small fridge with a freezer and put my radiator in the freezer and get a powerful pump to pump the water quickly so temps don't drop a lot when it leaves the radiator. The problem is the tubes would condensate but i have been thinking of wrapping the tubes with some type of insulating material.

Find a restaurant that's being closed and the interior gutted. Steal the refridgeration box from inside their walk in fridge. Build a new "fridge room" on the house, install refridgeration unit. Should be able to deal with 1 computer. Perfectly.

The problem with this plan is identical to the "PC in fridge" problems.
