Default Shower Head in Bong Cooling

If I'm understanding this correctly, the reason a showerhead is used is to increase the surface area of the water / decrease its density so it evaporates more easily.

So why hasn't anyone gotten a hose nozzle with a misting feature? Wouldn't this work better? Even if it created too much pressure, that could be alleviated with widened holes.

Nahmean?

If I do a bong cooling setup, I'm going to get a multi-feature nozzle and see what settings work best.

Theoretically yes, but I would imagine there would be a huge loss to water vapor and you would constantly need to re-fill your res.

Yeah cause if you used mist I think that 90% would evaporate so youd be refilling your res every hour.

If you're going for performance, then a system to replace water (either continuous or from a larger reservoir) should already be in place. I'm pondering the efficiency of the common bong setup, and I think it can be improved. If you're enthusiastic enough to have a WC setup, you shouldn't be limited by refills.

A misting shower head works just fine, however you need more pressure with that.

Right, and then it wont be a 'misting' shower head anymore.....

If you are curious about bong coolers and their variants you should just post your questions in the bong lovers club thread over in the water cooling section. After all, who better to ask than the guys who actually use them?

shower heads can only get you so far, eventually you've gotta evolve it to the point where there's a material (think towel but different) that soaks up the water to give it probably minutes of exposure as opposed to 3 seconds. That's not mentioning the surface area of said towel substances.

Sham-wow? Jk but how about multiple layers (20-30) of a cheese cloth/panty hose type material that is really thin but will catch and slowly let water pass through.

thin is good, and i don't think you want it to hold it in too much, as the flow rate will cut right down. Dad's got this stuff in the garage (got a pic somewhere) from a water bed or something, anyway it's very fibrous, quite thick and is made of an artificial material - apparently it doesn't soak it up.

I was thinking the same exact thing. I have some too.

Lemme see if I'm understanding this right.

The purpose of a bong cooler, is to have air rapidly evaporate, which causes a transformation of heat energy. So the water evaporates partially, and the cooler, unevaporated water particles drip down into the reservoir.

Right?
