I am working on a little experiment with Fluid XP and distilled water and I need an inline filter to see the results. I am running half inch lines so I would like a half inch filter. The other thing is that it cannot be made of aluminum or any metal that is not chrome or stainless.
__________________I originally purchased a couple of the filters here but when I got them some of the internal pieces were aluminum, so that will not work. I realize too that these filters are not 1/2" like I said I needed, but I had some barb adapters that would have made it work. Optimally I would like to get some clear plastic see through filters with 1/2" barbed fittings on each end, and I would like the filters to be as small as possible. Any links or ideas would be appreciated.

Would something like this work?
http://www.americanrvcompany.com/Shu...per_p_888.html Or this, it's similar to the one you bought from Summit, but it's used in marine applications, so I'd have to imagine it's has some corrosion protection. Only problem is that it doesn't come with 1/2" barbs: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Moell...d=140336743077

Have you looked at your irrigation store for filters cause they sell em at 13mm and they work great on my veggie garden.

I looked at quite a few water filters, but most were way to big. The RV one that Deviance found may work. Specs show that 50 mesh is good for 279 micron filtration, but what I am filtering is about 50 microns (a little bit smaller than a grain of salt). If the mesh can easily be changed then that one may still work.

What exactly are you trying to filter out?

In order to avoid ridicule, hatred, and general rage due to differences in opinions about a certain subject that has been discussed here at OCN before, I will refrain from giving details of my expirment until it is done and I can give provide everyone with the results... though that may be some time down the road

For the last time no, sand will not make your water cooling setup more effective.
(I really have nothing to contribute to this thread)

When you have nothing to contribute and you post anyway it is called trolling... and it is frowned upon.

1. It was supposed to be funny, you need a filter, sand, get it?
2. Trolling implies I'm trying to draw an emotional response from you, not intended, but clearly it happened. And, I know you're not in the UK, but here: http://www.ecs-marine-equipment.co.u...tem-49241.html All you need are the barbs for it. It's bronze and has a stainless filter. Contributing to the thread so as not to "troll" again. [insert deity here] forbid that happens.
