Default Anybody willing to test this?

So there's all these coolants out there that say they're non-conductive, when really the only way to do that would be to have pure diamonds conducting the heat, so here's my question. Is anyone willing to try cooling a pc by completely submerging it in one of those "non-conductive" coolants, and seeing how that works? I'd imagine it would be quite a bit easier to clean out than mineral oil.

I tried it in distilled water. It worked for about 30 seconds.

The issue is that if any dirt or dust gets in, it becomes conductive.

None of them are insulators. If you don't want to use mineral oil, you could use transformer oil, but that is more expensive. Or you could use 3M's Flourinert - or other similar chemicals. However they are very very expensive.

Transformer oil = mineral oil... (most of the time)

I do work removing, filtering, and re-filling large industrial transformers.

the stuff you get at the drug store is probably a lot cheaper than the brand name stuff full of additives you put into a transformer at work
