Smile PolyCarbonate WaterFall Reservoirs of 2009

EDIT: All done making these until the weather warms back up. Thanks for all the orders guys

Hey guys

I've had such a number of requests for the Waterfall Reservoirs that I am ordering some 1/4" MAKROLON GP Polycarbonate sheet and will be making a limited number of reservoirs depending on the demand.

The price will remain $150 for each reservoir despite a huge jump in materials costs.

If you have been waiting for me to make you a waterfall reservoir the wait is almost over.

Please post here if you are interested in the reservoirs and have any special requests or questions about them.

This is what I am making:

Here are some videos of variations on the Waterfall Theme

And the current limited run of 3-bay watefalls

Nice. This is beautiful. Love the kid.
The water dripping gets a bit loud though. You can also see the splash that starts to build up on the walls. I have not figured out how to clear that in my fish tanks.

My secondary rig makes a nice waterfall sound when it's running - very soothing.

And Sugary, your Avatar is a poster I have on my door to my office lol.

Depending on the internals the waterfalls all have different levels of hydro-activity. I've made some that the water pretty much flows from ledge to ledge and I've made some where the water is bashing all over the place inside.

I like the sound of the fall - pretty soothing. However, I really would not want to see the splash-buildup on the front as that wouldn't be too aesthetically pleasing and also more difficult to keep clean.

Lookin' good those reservoirs and such. Maybe I'll hit you up with a request sometime in da future. Are you still open to round reservoirs? I'm lookin for a cylinder res that holds two loops. Divided exits/feeds in one. And big. Two mainstream reservoirs are boring.

Yeah I like cylinders. Much easier to work with (less parts). A divider might be a trick but seems possible.

I am definitely in for one. Since I decided to run a ultra quite rig, I think the soothing sounds of water running would be a plus. Also if you made layered chambers, you can still have the splash effect with bubbles and all, but have it go below one level down to the intake via much calmer path.
