Default CD!!! I Need parts!!!

Well, it's time to get the show moving, so here we go, I have abandoned my hardpiped copper setup as it was going to be a mess since everything for watercooling is barbed for plastic, and well, going barb, plastic, barb, copper just seems counter productive.

I will be going with the stinger V8 econo top for a water block.

I have the MCP655 that you sent me.

So I need to start getting the rest of the items in line, I checked out your website, but it seemed some pretty important items were just not there but knowing you, you either have them around, or you have them sourced. So lets get this party started.

Rad: something that will take 3x120mm, whether a thermochill or whatever else you recommend.
Barbs for said Rad, I think probably the sweet fancy barbs you've got from captive would be good, so I'd need 2 for the rad. (I'll to keep a running tally on those).

Res, I think a bay res would work well for me here, but I'm not sure, I need to have 2 inlets since the V8 has the two outlets, and I'd rather not have a y-couple in the line, I've got decent enough space (currently have 3 bays open, and will have 4 when I take out the Chilltec controller.) What do you recommend? If there is a res that doesn't have the two outlets, would you be willing to tap it for an extra inlet? what would that cost? 3 barbs for the Res right? (2 inlet, 1 outlet, that makes 5 total right now)

Tubing, your wisdom guides the way for me here. Especially in terms of how much I would need, I'm a newb so figure conservatively, I guarantee I'll end up cutting it a few times.

Coolant, doesn't need to be too fancy, something UV reactive would be neat but not required, biggest factors here is I'd love for whatever it is to ensure I don't nuke my system if it leaks. Primochill? Do you use that straight?

Fans for the Rad, probably depends on the rad.

And lastly, what controls all of this stuff? IE, fan controller, pump controller? I'm a newb, but obviously something has to control all of this stuff.

Clips, clamps, and other hodge podge, you tell me.

I wouldn't say price is NO object, but you don't have to be too stodgy.

360GTX if you really dont want a 480.
Swiftech MCRES
20' Masterkleer 7/16"
FluidXP HP or Ultra Blood Red
Any of these (use a shroud)
Sunbeam 20W Rheobus. 4 channels:
-fan
-fan
-fan
-pump (much easier than the little one on the pump itself.

use steel wormdrive clamps, i myself wouldnt trust any other, even though FluidXP is non-conductive.
iandh's barbs. they rock. expesive, but the best in the world hands down. get them from CyberDruid.

The MCRes has only a single inlet, I don't want a 480, I'm only going to be cooling the quad in this loop, so I think a 3x120 rad has to be able to handle that.

Why the 7/16" instead of 1/2", just a slightly tighter fit?

Thanks for the link to the fans.

Does CD sell all of this stuff?

I just noticed that the Captive barbs are only 1/4", so what other barbs you got?

That's it. The are the standard size all LC stuff is these days: G 1/4 or /4 BSPP. THe actual tubing ID that it accomodates it 1/2" which is also a standard these days. Although I have not tried one yet i believe they will fit the usual waterblocks/radiators/pumps/reservoirs we all use.

oh, good, then I'll stick with those, I didn't realize a 1/4 barb was for a 1/2 id tubing. This is why you are the savant.

So what do you have?

I'm all for supporting OCN members, so I'd like to purchase as much of this stuff through you as I can.

you want more tubing in case you make a wrong cut somewhere or realize that you loop layout isnt the way you want it and have to move stuff around, and have to make new tube lengths...

I only have about 5-6 feet of tubing in my loop, but the more extra tubing you have at the start, the less likely that you will not have enough when its all said ad done...

Even when you are an experienced WC'er, you still want to get extra tubing. Its not all that expencive and its always better to be safe, then sorry...
