Trying to constrain the outside dimensions to 12" to best use materials


1/2" Copper Pipe


This length is a make or break dimension for the layout...as you will see.


I use a step bit I had at hand and my cordless on low and bevel the inside lip and my bench sander to knock down the lip.


I collected some parts to play around with...about $140 in misc stuff actually.


Yet anothere torch...I know I have one around here somwhere...


Flux, No-Lead solder


After brightening the areas to be joined with a piece of sandpaper I apply the flux


I clamp the piece in a vice and arrange it so the part I want to heat is going to absorb all that heat (which travels away from gravity)


A little time on the wheel brightens up the part.


After socking down the fittings on each radiator with Rectorseal T5 I carefully aligned the two radiators, brightened and fluxed the areas to be joined and clamped one radiator down to solder the joints


Then I used a number of 45 degree fittings to make a connection from the rad to the pump. The two rads line up well to each other and will fit inside a 12" cube.




That's the layout.

I dunno WTH that fan is for.

It's 24V but runs at 12V like a hurricane...I can only imagine it at 24V...LAWL

It was the most expensive fan I have ever purchased. $70
