Hai Guyz

I got so much pleasure from building Antesignani's cooler that I decided to do it again...on a much larger scale.

I just ordered the parts a moment ago and will be working on the enclosure before they arrive.

The desired form factor is 12" x 12" x 24".

The Spec for this Prototype Cooler I call TheTank is listed below.

2 X PA120.3 Radiators ($280 shipped from Mountain Mods)

2 X 172x150mm Fans (265 CFM) ($120 from FrozenCPU)

Iwaki RD 30 ($220 Shipped From JabTech)

Meanwell S50-24 ($36 from Suntek1000 off eBay)

Total so far $656

I will need about $150 in aluminum extrusions

Maybe $50 in acrylic

The usual miscellaneous stuff $100

It'll be an expensive piece...Probably in the $1500 range but I expect it will outperform Monolith although it will undoubtedly be louder.

Druid you have lost your mind. That's all I can say about that. I imagine you'll be recycling the hydra for this unit. It should be beastly.

Naw..I think I will just use it on the G-5 Penryn Build I have planned

For testing purposes...

Ideally I will want to sell it to a LC enthusiast.

I am on a roll...not an Egg roll: a McMaster Roll.

Got the aluminum extrusions ordered as well as a panel mount PSI gauge like I have on my Raptor X case. Also got more torx driv button head machine screws, double wall pinchclamps, wire reinforced PVC tubing and some other bobs n bits to refill the drawers.

Also ordered some special brazing rods from Advanced Technologies: HTS 2000 <Cue Echo Effect>2000 2000

I've seen this stuff at Flea Markets and thought it was a gag...but Kapt Krunch on XS linked me a vid that pretty much convinced me to try the stuff. It will fuse aluminum to aluminum with a stronger bond than the material itself.

I plan to try my hand at fusing the the frames of the end panels together to make it look better. We'll see...I love trying new things ^^

Speaking of which I will be setting up by Blast Cabinet. I have some photo-reactive masking film specific to micro sandblasting that will allow me to basically print any grayscale image and etch a rendering of that onto any surface. I'll be trying out etched acrylic for the panels and may see how etching tribal designs into the extrusions looks

Baroque Druish Expressions in Metal and Plastic...why not?

Since this unit has not been claimed by anyone (although there are some interested parties

) I intend to Tinker with it and use it as a vehicle and excuse to use all my tricks

I would appreciate artisitc and aesthetic input. If you have seen Antesgnani's Kube you'll know in essence what it looks like...just another foot longer. What I need is ART to etch into the extrusions and acrylic panels...and any other input into how to make this particular Kooler the Coolest...

I dont know how detailed the end product of 'blasting' is but i think maybe some kind of fractal image would look really nice on the side of a case. And as i think you would know, there are PLENTY of different fractal images on the net.
