Were you just referring to wanting something more attractive than that piece of plastic Swiftech is selling, or just wanting someone very similar made of metal? That'd be crazy easy with some angle iron and a mig... hardest part would be pressing the screw holes, which you could make a template for so that you only even have to measure once.

This is the Swiftech Radbox.
It is made out of a semi-cheap and fairly flexible plastic. Plus if you remove the middle piece (almost essential so you can get airflow through your case using the rad to pull the air) then the box has much less strength.

God... i hate my forgetfulness. Now i'm second guessing myself. Anyone know if you can Weld aluminum with a MIG??? I know you can't weld Aluminum to pretty much anything cause it won't bond, but i can't remember if you can weld it to other aluminum using a mig or not... you may be stuck brazing CD.....

But if You have a small wire feed, you will need to change a few things if you are going to push the wire. Install u-shaped drive rollers and inlet/outlet guides. And use a non-metallic liner and contact tips made for aluminum. Plus 100% Argon for gas. And pre heating your work helps too. It's better just to run a spool gun if you can afford it.
