I already gave this one away on Christmas Day to my favorite Postal Worker's neice lol.

Every now and then I make a PC for someone local to me...a friend of the family...or in this case just a really nice lady.

I bought a used case of indeterminate make from a guy on XS.

When it arrives I was apalled at the condition...scratched... tape...missing hardware...mismatched fans...a real mess.

I spent about 5 hours cleaning and polishing all the panels and then re-assembled it. It was hard to find enough HW to do it...and this in a complete PC Mod Shop...

Anyway after I got it looking halfway decent I dug around for some fans and ligths and controllers and other good stuff.

She had given me two ancient PCs and asked if I could maybe get one good PC out of them...I never even opened them up...I just was not in the mood to troubleshoot crapola rigs.

So I dug Claw out of mothballs and took the K8NSpro/Clawhammer rig out of the cannabalized Aerocool Extreme Engine T3 case and transplanted it into the new box.

I used parts from a bunch of memebrs here: Drives and 850XTPE from Chozart (I miss him) Mobo and CPU from Fishie36, BlingBling PSU from MootsFox and probably some other odds and ends from others here.

I like that old Clawhammer rig but TBH it hardly makes sense burning the electricity to run it as a Folding Rig...It's been a stable daily driver though and should be fine for a College Freshman to do some papers on.

Not a terrible case...just designed so only 80mm fans fit...

It's really too much for a freeby but I was full of Cognac and Christmas spirit so I went ahead and put some tasty Bay devices in there: Aerocool Aerogate 4 channel fan controller and temp monitor, CoolDrive3 HDD cooler, TT fan controller

I pulled the stickers off them and polished them up so they wold look decent

The case is 5/16 and 1/4 acrylic and is held together with threadinsert cubes and 4-40 screws...I had to really hunt to find enough long 4-40 screws...

Heh...just a little bit dusty

Nothing a little compressed air can't resolve

The Ultra PSU looks pretty good.

Of course this calls for UV lighting!

About there...

Back in the nice warm house to do up the software...

I think that's a pretty decent build...and you can't beat the price

And UV reactive...

When I brought it over and set it up they were knocked out...considering she had given me a couple of seriously decrepit beige boxes I don't think she was expecting anything like this in return

So that's my good deed for the year...now I can return to my cut-throat mercenary tactics fro another 12 months...
