Default Special Services: Kennymester's Waterfall Reservoir

I am pleased that Kenny asked me to build him a reservoir for his Chem mod...especially since it is something I am confident I can do (unlike certain other requests hanging overhead )

Picked up a sheet of 1/4" from Lowes yesterday and a piece of fiberboard to use as a router template.

One thing I have learned is that edges that have been routed glue up better than edges that have been run through a table saw. The thinner the piece the more this is true.

A router is about as close to CNC or laser cut as I can get in my lil shop..

So I will cut pieces out of 1/2" MDF and use double-sided tape to attach the acrylic to them and route out the crital 6 pieces that make the enclosure.

The waterfall is something that can be slightly less precise as long as the width is correct.

Here is Kenny's construction diagram. I took a few liberties with it adding a couple of extra levees.

But that may vary slightly from what I can actually fit in the res...

In order to give the effect of a waterfall I will shape the lip of each levee so that the fluid has a more natural look.

The main trick to making a reservoir is keeping the 6 exterior pieces perfectly aligned while gluing...they need to be square, parallel etc.

Well enough talk...time to get going on this.

Ice_Owl has given me a task that will be as challenging as anything I have done with acrylic... making four tiny corners that will be the joining bits and hinge pins for his front panel...They are tiny and need to be precise...

I have large hands and poor eyesight should be interesting...

No lol...internal. 5.75 across (width of optical bay) 8" deep and 6.75" tall...It'll mount in the top optical bays I believe.

Wont that waste the awesomeness of this build though? Having it shoved between the walls in side the case? Just some constructive thought on my part, do not take offense
