I've had a LOT of packages come to me dented (not from CD) and the only ones that were broken were the ones with bad packaging from a noob, or Woot!. My neon lounge sign broke during delivery

You know what really bites about acrylic is that it blocks out UV. I bet if you could somehow mount a cathode in it with glass it would look supreme.

That looks stunning CD, and like you and others, said, would be cool just to have as a little water feature on a desk!
Also, does the waterfall motion effect the temperatures at all, or is this purely for show?
