Default Sanyo Denki San Ace 1011 interest/inquiry thread

Ok guys I've researched 120mm fans high and low... I've come to the conclusion that the best happens to be the san ace 1011. I had heard(read) many good things about these fans but was still skeptical given their scarcity... However Vapor's thread over at XS has piqued my interest,

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=170224

Quote:
Sanyo Denki Makes Some Really Nice Stuff

I'll spoil one result for all of you upfront: the Sanyo Denki San Ace 1011 is king of the hill. And by hill I mean universe. It's really, really good. In addition to its insane empirical results (see below), it makes NO extraneous noises and undervolts like a champ. I have five and they all perform like this and they all start at 4V or lower. They could kick Chuck Norris's ass....silently.

They're ball bearings as well, so you don't have to worry about the sleeve bearing inconvenience. They also perform past their listed specs--something that's exceedingly rare in these SilenX days. Good luck finding any though...and when you do, they're $25 a pop. I also really like Sanyo Denki's Eneloop batteries (hey, I said "stuff" in the title, that implies plurality).

San Ace 1011 - This fan really is in a league of it's own....yeah, the Zalman may 'catch up' on the radiator...but the San Ace isn't a sleeve bearing and is overall better construction. It is the real deal and somehow better than every other fan...ESPECIALLY in open air.
Scythe S-Flex E - The silent-friendly fan of the bunch...easiest to make 'silent' while also having great otherwise performance. It's also a wonderful S-FDB bearing fan that has little downside.
In short this is the best fan in both open air and radiator applications... I have been a devout S-flex owner, however I really want to give the San Ace 1011s a shot.

So my question is simple, how many others would be interested in purchasing some of these fans if CD carried them? At least 10 San Ace 1011s need to be pre-ordered(by OCN members) to make this worth his while. I'll try and post a poll in a sec.

I currently have 4 of these in two different builds and I will tell you they are awesome They are 38mm thick so that is something to think about when you are deciding where to place them. The upside of this is their capacity to move an impressive amount of air at what I consider relatively quiet. I would purchase more if they were more readily available.

I'd also like to be able to pick up at least 3 of these for my rad.

Don't know where to buy them, so I'll probably be getting some Scythe S-FLEX SFF21F.

The SFF21Fs are great indeed, for me they're definitely a moderate second by comparison. If you don't need the fans right away give CD a chance to gauge the interest and place an order through his local distributor.

-Slightly OT-

You're the first person to actually use the multi choice option... I made the poll and it slipped my mind .

-EDIT-

It may be a pipe dream, but it would be bad arse if there were enough interest and sales that somehow CD could(eventually) buy direct from Sanyo Denki thus increasing his profits and perhaps lowering the price for everyone else... Given the size of the collective enthusiast community I don't think it's entirely out of the realm of possibility(Just damn close).

Hopefully CD will be able to work something out with his distributor. I'm not in a rush so I do hope he'll be able to get some.

I had originally chose 1 option but I saw that it was a checkbox rather than a radio box so I chose 2 for the hell of it

I thought more of my fellow enthusiasts would be interested in the best 120mm fan on the market... Imagine a pair of these in push pull config on a TRUE (Assuming you had room for such an abomination!).
