Cool Triple Loop....amazing but true.

Well I spent a few hours doing layouts and thinking about options and ended up fitting the 320 to the bottom, the 220 to the top and a PA 160 internally.

I was wanting to maintain the stock appearance...and not get some funky looking top that stuck up past the case profile. So I went with the 220 up top as it would fit under the plastic shroud with a little trimming of some webs in the shroud.

The 320 fits without much modification on the bottom and is 90% hidden from view anyway.

The PA fit perfectly in a vertical position against the HDD bay.

I was able to leave a lot of the chassis intact which was the plan.

The RaptorX HDDs are going on display so I am not concerned with the fiunky HDD trays that slide into9 the bays. Cooling for the Raptors will be via an inexpensive HDD cooler that screws to the underside of the drive.

This will free up the HDD bays for the pumps...

Have a look.

The Cosmos top grills will fit 140mm fans...as you can see that is a huge increase. I happen to have some in stock.

I checked the thickness of the rad against the trim and rfails (chassis upside down in shot) and found there was sufficient room to mount the rad.

I test fit the TT 850PSU and a pair of 120mm fans in the floor of the case. Sure enough CM has allowed enough room for these. It would have been even better if the floor of the chassis did notg already have a grill in it..as the grill doenot line up to a dual fan location.

A little cutting and snipping later and some hammer and dolly work and I had the chassis ready to accept the 320.

You can see the rad showing through the vent for the PSU... This is intentional and will use the PSU as one of the three fans.

The chassis is sandwiched betgween the rad and fans...it's a done deal.

This old Maxtor indicates how I plan to showcase the Raptors.

My trusty rusty Fein saw makes short work of opening the bottom trim panel.

And trims the bottom rail to accomodate the rad location.

Everything fits.

The trim piece in place...

I played around with putting a 320 up top butg the 220 fits without chopping up the plastic shroud trim.

The rad is attached to the chassis directly. The 140mm fans will provide ample air flow...

Another one down

Here I am fitting the modified plastic shroud. It's tight...but does fit.

I used a red filter...but it could be any color...I might even paint the mesh black.

There is plenty of exhaust for the rad now that the shroud has a 120mm hole in it..

WIth the chassis on it's face I checked the fit of the PA 160 in a vertical location.

Even with the shroud and fan there will be clearance for the largest of GFX cards. There's 10.5" from the backplane to the fan on the shroud.

I cut an additional vent into the HDD bay support...but left plenty of meat so as to maintain some structural rigidity.

Here I have the rad attached to the bay.

As you can see there is plenty of breathing room for the bottom mounted fans and plenty of clearance for the plumbing and HW.

It's going to be tight...but triple loop it is

Seriously though waterfalls are cool as hell. That could be CD's trademark. A waterfall in every build.

I am still thinking about what the reservoir system will be like for this build. I kind of like the idea of three EK reservoirs mounted internally behind the optical bays. Of course you could do three 1 bay reservoirs...or I could fabricate a custom 2 bay reservoir that is divided into three seperate compartments...that would be different. No waterfall in this one.

Hey CD if you don't mind answering. Are those meshes especially used for dust? If so, where can I get them or are they personally made by you! lol

Reason why I ask is because my Antec 900 is a dust vacuum machine, it loves dust. Maybe I can put it in the antec, thanks again!

I have to subscribe to this

I've been looking at cases for my next build... (Probably not for 6+ months)

I'm really liking the Cosmos case, or the Stacker 830. I think come time I want to do another build I'll contact you CD
