The client received his rig today and was well pleased. One of his comments that made me feel good was that the build looks so much more impressive in person. He spent a good while just staring into the chassis absorbing all the details I suppose my pictures cannot impart.
The morning before he arrived I modified a number of LED cluster lights with 3pin plugs and sheathed them and using the motherboard fan headers powered the internal lighting. Except for a single Amber cluster the rest are UV and bring out the fluid in the tubing just enough to trace the outlines of the system in the dark. The amber had the desired effect of reflecting some light off the shiney bits and adding a certain "tube" ambience to the drive bay. He also repeatedly noted how quiet the rig runs. The RaptorX drives are completely inaudible. And even with all fans on low the system is running cool. FlyingA2 installed Crysis while he was here and was pleased at how it played for the hour or so we messed with it. We also ran a few benchmarks to load up the GPU. Then much to my chagrin FlyingA2 ran some benchmarks on my internet bandwidth...which is just a bit slower than some dial up services  He found it highly amusing that I had all these state of the art components and PCs and no bandwidth...huge e-peen...tiny scrote...sigh whaddaya gonna do when you live in the middle of the woods? It was a real pleasure to spend some time with FlyingA2...he's a real gentleman and has been an exceptionally laid back and flexible client. And showing up with a large banana cake for the family was a smart move. He easily won over my Wife and kids with a single volley... I am going to write that into all future contracts: any client desirous of a shop pick-up must provide an exceptional desert before viewing their rig. Have a blast with your new machine and be sure to keep in touch.
