Is the Diamond Dust better at heat transfer or is it just a bigger tube? I'm going to need to get some for my buddy..

The IC Diamond TIM is made of pulverized diamonds and has tremendous heat transfer potential. It seems to work as well as the Shin. According to some users in a thread on this at XS it works better for them. The MFR is actively participating in live testing of the product and has been very responsive in the thread there. I think it's a good product. Has better results with a thicker bondline than most TIMs including Shin Etsu...which needs a thin bondline to perform well.

That diamond stuff has worked great on my gpu and cpu. About 2C to 5C less than AS5.
