"IMA CHARGIN MA LAZER!!!"
anyways, anyone know of any guides on using autocad to make those designs? I know basics of Autocad and I've only done simple drafting with mainly straight lines or circles. I'd like to learn how to make some of those designs for fun. Any help much appreciated

Well the only thing I have is a book for autocad revision 10, otherwise I'm self taught(my wife is an autocad expert, so I use her as a reference. Still at that I can do things in CAD she can't). But basically I'm insert a picture on a separate layer so I can switch it on and off and use the arc function on layer 0 to make siloettes. If you do production work don't use copyrighted material or the copyright owner can sue the pants off you. Such as Harley Davidson...........and HD will.......
And yes the mudflap girls are siloettes of real girls................

Those look pretty cool.
Tough part about this is you have to balance having the design look nice and the amount of resistance it's going to cause to the fan. Designs like the peace symbol and the ankh are nice. Ones like the cross (middle of the 3rd row) must look incredible with the amount of detail put into it, but it's probably going to cut airflow substantially. That gets me thinking though.. What would be interesting is an entire laser cut polycarbonate case, with the design strategically made so that the fans fit in as part of the design! Btw, what's with the first one in the last row? That's basically not having a fan guard..
