Arrow Laser Cut Fanguards

Well my Artiste and CAD Guru friend fart_plume has provided me with the files I need to make a run of laser cut fan guards. Initially these will be cut from thin polycarbonate (clear) although future runs may feature tinted or UV reactive plastics.

Polycarb is infinitely stronger than acrylic and as you might be able to tell from the screensholt of the CAD files these guards are loaded with intricate details and to ensure they last Lexan is the preferred matrerial.

This will be my second Laser Cutting project...the 3-bay WaterFall Reservoirs turned out to require a lot of assembly time...efectively negating any real profit or "ease" for me...since spending 3 or 4 hours perunit really was crimping my ability to market them at a good nprice point.

The guards should be a lot more affordable and since each one is hand designed you can be assured of a truly unique piece. These are not your typical "BioHazard" fan guard...fart_plume put a ton of work into the designs and thought into making these flow air as well as looking cool.

These will not be available for a couple of weeks...but when I have them on hand I will start a PreSales thread.

The beauty of this project is 1) inexpensive 2) NO ASSEMBLY! (yay for me) 3) Cheap to ship 4) Easy to install 5) Nothing for CyberDruid to screw up

After messing up $400 in reservoirs due to my own poor assembly I am lookiung forward to a product that I CANNOT screw up .

Thought this might be kind of interesting.

If there is a design you would be willing to buy (or buy in bulk) please let me know and I will forward the idea along to my CAD guru and perhaps I can squeeze that into the production run.

Thanks for you continued support

And thanks to fart_plume for all his hard work.

haha, I was just designing some grills, albeit in photoshop, not autocad
Is there any way you could get metal fan grills? Like out of a flat sheet of sheet metal?

will stay tuned

Sure. I just think clear is going to look great with colored light around it, behind it. I especially like the Roses grill....that with a red LED fan would look intense.

Your going to be blowing air though those, won't there be quite a bit of resistance, especially with row2 col 4? Never the less, it would be cool to have one.

I am especially taken by the Celtic designs.

A2, A3 are really nice.

B1 is also a timeless image that is sure to please many.
