Scarring Your Psyche

![]() Pardon the mess...I'm kind of in the middle of some things. ![]() What about that top... ![]() Held in place with two thumbscrews. A hinge would be a PITA. And Ken might not even use this piece... ![]() ![]() Money Shot. I made that....(pinches self) ![]() Might kae a matching hexmesh grill for this fan too...but this one actually looks good. ![]() So getting closer. Need to: *Mount Switches (entails wiring them up to leads) *Polish edges of 1/2" acrylic *Polish or blast aluminum angle *Mount some lighting And that should do it. Hope to get all that done before I hit the sack tonight. We'll see.

Out-friggin'-standing, Maestro.
If you keep raising the bar at your current rate, we will soon have to don a breathing-aparatus.

Oh it could be better. If the Wife was out I could have put the sheet in the oven and done it a lot smoother lol.
Just taking a short breather and then back to get this ready to ship. I hope I don't have to run to Lowes for Polish...I thought I had two sticks but can only find a nub...

![]() I started by mounting the power and reset switches. I considered using the front panel but settled on the side instead. ![]() The red switch was a bit tricky. I used a piece of scrap to perfect my technique. I used a combination of drill bits to get it to work. It's nice and snug. ![]() Then using the dial for spacing I countersunk a hole for the rheostat as its threading is too short to pass through the 1/2" material. ![]() I made the holes so edge to edge distance would be the same. SO when I can I will get out to the shop and solder and sheath the leads. Meanwhile have a closer look at the top...I really like it. ![]() ![]() ![]() The lighting makes this station look pretty in a lot of different ways. ![]() ![]() Getting there. No time tonight I am parenting. But tomorrow I will get to the polishing now that all the holes have been made.
