In your OP you keep referring to CDPC as "we". I was under the impression that you did all the work yourself. Do you actually have other people working for you or does "we" just sound more professional
Either way you [guys] do great work

I received some material yesterday that might be of interest. It is a closed cell neoprene foam 3/16" to 1/4" in thickness. I think it will be ideal for lining side panels and tops of cases to minimize the hum of fans and generally dampen unpleasant acoustics. Usually the material you find at vendors comes in little packages and is precut to fit any case except the one you own. This material is a 20 square foot sheet that can be cut exactly to fit large side panels like those in the RocketFish or Lian Li or Silverstone or CM or Tt cases that many of us mod. I got two durometers (firmness ratings) of the material 40 and 60. The material is almost black, charcoal with an open texture that I believe will absorb sound. Ideally it would be applied with an adhesive like 3M 777 adhesive spray, but you could improvise and use a number of methods. I'll post up some pics when my internet is back up. I also received a variety of what I feel is essential hardware: metric and SAE machine screws in Black with Button Head and Flange. You've probably seen these in some of my work...it's the little details like substituting nicer hardware throughout that better matches the color scheme that I feel give a build a "finished" feel. I also restocked on some special vibration isolating grommets that can be used to decouple fans, pumps and other mechanical devices from the chassis. They are blue in color and fit into a hole in a panel so that the hardware never contacts the panel. They are a composition specific to vibration isolation. So when I get a chance I will take some shots of these items and how they are used. When I get a chance I will mod my RocketFish with the neoprene foam and post up a before and an after vid. The rig is seriously loud and annoying with aan Alphacool1510 pump that has a distinct buzz. So it will be a decent test. I also have a Lian Li up in the house that is kinds of buzzy...the fans are quiet but the case buzzes...so lining that will be a test of how well the material dampens vibration. Before I can set a price on the material I need to determine how much of a sheet is used up in a typical lining operation. That way I will know how much waste is involved and how many cases can be lined from the 4' x 5' sheet. Updates to follow.

Good to know.
I used some of the neoprene sound absorbing material this afternoon and it is much nicer to work with than the stuff you get in the packs...I used some 3M 777 spray adhesive to apply it. I'm still trying to figure how much I can get out of a sheet.. Hoping that tomorrow I can get some work done in the shop and take some shots of the stuff in action. I also need to pimp out the powdercoat service more...the stuff is amazing to look at and doesn't cost that much...a Lian Li MidTower Chassis is about $150.
