Here's a decent representation of what $150 or so will get you. Just think what your case could look like in the color(s) of your choice...

This is a Lian Li PC7a Plus that got "Red Baron" Red Powdercoat. Because this is a color the coaters use for a much larger job adding a small iem like a chassis is no big deal and turn around is quick. They also do black on a regulare basis...same deal.

THis chassis was not taken apart...it was coated as is.

The coaters plug the screw holes to keep them from filling in with the paint.

I've done this with the chassis broken into parts and with it left assembled like this and you can see the paint fills in the rivets and joints nicely.

This case is for a "WaterClocker" V4 like the Silver/Blue one Syrillian owns but with black exterior panels and red accents.

There are literally thousands of finishes and color combinations available including metallics, bronzes, metalflake, chameleon color change, pearlescent, candy colors...

Even a triple coat process is less costly than an automotive grade paint job and ten times tougher. You can expect to pay between $150 and $350 depending on how many layers a particular finish takes and how much work is involved. Special colors take about an extra week because they have to be ordered. Some colors have a faster turn around depending on what the Powder Coat facility is doing that week. In general it is about a ten day turn around.

One matter to consider is that if the chassis and/or panels are SEC and have to be stripped to bare metal that can add between $40 and $80 depending on how long it trakes the sandblaster to strip them and it can add a few extra days to the turn around time. A Galvalume finish like in the CoolerMaster Cosmos cases does not need stripping...it's just painted surfaces.

I could've done this for free when I worked at a powder company here where I live. but I never got the thumb out to do it...

Oh quick question CD, should I have the case deanodized before powdercoating? I imagine the paint would hold better, plus I could sand it a bit better were it off....
