This is with a stock cooler. Is my cpu suppose to run that hot at idle.

Also my friend has a E4300 1.8ghz and runs at 18 degrees at idle, and the fan barely spins. But when he plays a game, it only jumps up to 30 if that even

Should i buy a better cooler, or is the stock one alright for just playing Bf2 and Cod4?
I would strongly recommend that you buy yourself a good aftermarket CPU cooler. Also note that the amount of TIM (Thermal Paste) that you apply on the cooler will make a significant difference in your temperatures.

TOO much TIM: The Thermal Paste will absorb the heat and cause higher temperatures as there isn't a good transfer of heat from the CPU to the Cooler.

You want to apply as little as you can (size of a rice grain is about right).

Good Luck

Got my E8400 running @ 3600MHz w/ 2x2GB Corsair XMS2 @ 5-5-5-18, 960MHz. been running Orthos for 47mins now and it looks good. No errors so far and the temps look promising on 100% load.

Core 2 - 53-54C
CPU - 32-33C

IS there any article that describes use of Orthos?
I OC-ed to 3.5Ghz, 12*290Mhz, ram very relaxed, I`m getting errors in every test except last one with "Gromacs Core"...

Can I know what test is used for what?
and error explanations?

I`m getting something like this in Blend, Large fft and ram+CPU test after 5-7sec:
Code:
Test 1, 4000 Lucas-Lehmer iterations of M19922945 using 1024K FFT length.
FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.
Torture Test ran 0 minutes 8 seconds - 1 errors, 0 warnings.
Execution halted.

theres a reason for that... if it crashes, it means your overclock is unstable... thus the point of having orthos or prime95
