I have had soooo many problems with coretemp that i almost pulled my hair out of my head. I would recommend speedfan instead. It is very efficent and gives good temp readings. Also never had one problem with it.

Just as an FYI, the CoreTemp shutdown issues have been ironed out (I've been testing this for almost a month now, with absolutely no problems) with Beta v.95.4.

Mind you, I have no vested interest with the program or its author. I just wanted to get the word out that it's finally working without any reported problems.

Coretemp works in vista 64bit as long as you press F8 during startup and then select disable driver enforcement. But you need to do this each time you want to use it.
