Wow, this is a very nice package for newbies like me. I am in the process of playing around with them on my current computer so I can be more skillful at these apps when I get my new build.

These are all safe programs. The applications themselves cannot harm your computer but the stress (heat/temperature) could, so I would recommend you to monitor your CPU temps with Core Temp while running Prime95 as it'll stress your CPU.

Running a Pentium D here, what should I use instead of core temp?

Look in the Intel Motherboard Section of the forums for a guide on how to overclock it. As for Core Temp it doesn't matter if you have a Dual or a Quad Core
